AMPY is a wearable lithium-ion battery that harnesses kinetic energy to charge itself while you move. A day of walking can gather enough juice for three hours of smartphone use. So far the startup has raised about $250,000 through its Kickstarter campaign. In time they see the technology being integrated directly into devices.
