Country Singer-Songwriter Known for "Somebody's Daughter"; Philanthropist

Tenille Townes is a Canadian country singer-songwriter known for her single “Somebody’s Daughter,” which peaked at #29 on the US Country chart.

In 2011, at age 17, Townes released her debut full-length album, Real, with Royalty Records. Also in 2011, she was nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award for Female Artist of the Year.

In March 2013, Townes released her sophomore full-length album, titled Light.

On April 13, 2018, Townes announced through Facebook that she had signed a record deal with Columbia Nashville.

That same year, Townes released “Somebody’s Daughter” in September and toured with Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town as their opening act.

In addition to her burgeoning music career, Townes is an active philanthropist. Through her annual event, Big Hearts for Big Kids, she has raised over $775,000 for Sunrise House, a shelter for homeless youth in Alberta, Canada.
