Leader & Innovator, Women Empowerment Expert, Former COO of Qwest & Author of "The Balance Myth: Rethinking Work-Life Success"

Throughout her career Teresa Taylor nurtured and built a legacy of pioneering change, vision and demonstrated leadership that earned her praise by investor media, shareholders, customers and employees. She is a visionary telecom industry executive who leads by example, finds opportunity for change and strives to consistently create value. As CEO of Blue Valley Advisors, LLC, Teresa advises companies, government agencies and other endeavors on vision, strategy, operations and public affairs.

She retired from Qwest as the Chief Operating Office where she was responsible for the strategy and daily operations of the Sales, Product Marketing, Network, and IT organizations. During this time she led 30,000 employees and drove the companies execution of serving customers, the overall Network and IT deployment and represented the company with Investors and Wall Street.

Ms. Taylor led the telecom giant through an acquisition, facilitating the $20 billion process and navigating the complexities of a large corporate merger.

Previously, Ms. Taylor held numerous executive positions at Qwest including, Executive Vice President of Business Markets, Chief Administrative Officer, Executive Vice President of Wholesale and Executive Vice President of Products. Prior to her 23 years with Qwest she worked with several startup technology companies.

Ms. Taylor serves on the Board of Directors for T-Mobile USA (NYSE:TMUS), BlackHills Energy Corp. (NYSE:BKH) and First Interstate BancSystem (Nasdaq:FIBK) . She resides in Denver, Colorado and is active in the community and public affairs of Colorado. Past positions include Executive Advisor to Governor Hickenlooper, Global Leadership Council for the Colorado State University – College of Business, Colorado Technology Association, and Colorado State Job Cabinet. Teresa is also an active member in the National Association of Corporate Directors and Women Corporate Directors.
