Mary Katharine Ham is a journalist, author, and speaker. As a political commentator for CNN, she offers a conservative viewpoint on politics and pop culture. She also served Fox News from 2007-2015. In addition to her tenure at The Federalist, Ham has been a contributing editor for Townhall and Hot Air. Ham frequently speaks on the subject of free speech, particularly on college campuses.

Ham co-moderated an ABC News 2016 GOP presidential primary debate in New Hampshire, which featured nine candidates. She is the co-author with Guy Benson of "End of Discussion: How the Left's Outrage Industry Shuts Down Debate, Manipulates Voters, and Makes America Less Free (and Fun)." In addition to her journalism career, Ham hosted "The Morning Majority" on WMAL in Washington, D.C., and she was honored with the American Conservative Union Blogger of the Year award in 2014.

Ham holds strong ties to her family in North Carolina and is a committed UGA football fan. She resides in Virginia with her husband, three daughters, a son, and a highly energetic Belgian Malinois named Scout.
