Holt has managed campaigns all across the country and in every election cycle since 1988.  He was on the frontlines of the Republican revolution in 1994, when he managed the campaign that defeated the only sitting US House Speaker since before the Civil War.            

He has served in both the United States Senate and House, where he was the spokesman for the House Majority Leader, the Budget Committee and the House Republican Conference. He continues to advise the House leadership and select committees on media and political issues.                

Terry serves as a frequent guest on every major cable news outlet, including CNN, FOX and MSNBC, where he discusses news of the day and politics in Congress and the White House. He has appeared on virtually every news show on TV, from the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer to the Today Show to Hannity and Colmes to ESPN' Cold Pizza.              

Holt has also hosted the CNN political debate show Crossfire and offers political commentary in a blunt, humorous and no-nonsense style.                  

Currently, Terry is the Principle of Holt Strategies, a communications, publica affairs and media strategy firm based in Washington, D.C. Holt has run policy and communications coalitions on some of the most pressing public policy initiatives, including health care, technology, immigration, and the global effort to combat the AIDS pandemic.
