Actress, Best Known for "Westworld" & "Thor" Franchise

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an actress best known for portraying Charlotte Hale in the series "Westworld" and starring as Valkyrie opposite of Chris Hemsworth's Thor in the Avengers and Thor franchises.

Her breakout role was in Tina Mabry's 2009 indie film "Mississippi Damned". She gained further recognition for her starring roles as Nyla Adrose in the drama film "For Colored Girls", civil rights activist Diane Nash in the historical drama film "Selma", Bianca in the sports drama film "Creed", Valkyrie in the superhero film "Thor: Ragnarok", Josie Radek in the science fiction horror film "Annihilation", and Detroit in the science fiction comedy film "Sorry to Bother You".

On television, Thompson has starred as Jackie Cook in the mystery drama "Veronica Mars", Sara Freeman in the period crime drama "Copper", and Charlotte Hale in the HBO science-fiction thriller "Westworld".

Thompson will reprised her starring role as Bianca Porter in the sports drama sequel film "Creed II", acting alongside Michael B. Jordan.

She also starred in the "Men in Black" spin-off film, "MIB", once again appearing opposite of Chris Hemsworth.

She will be making history as Marvel's first LGBTQ superhero, reprising her role as Valkyrie in "Thor: Love and Thunder", set to be released in 2022.
