We’re Drs. Chuck and Jo-Ann Bird and we are Board Certified Clinical Sexologists and Relationship Experts. We help couples discover more connection and passion in their relationships. The couples we work with want to enhance their relationship by improving their communication, intimacy, sexual function, and/or sexual expression. We co-counsel couples together which offers a unique and balanced male/female perspective and a combined therapy/coaching approach to helping our clients with a variety of relationship and sexual issues/concerns. Due to our last name and the work we do, we have become known as The Love Birds™.

As a happily married couple, in addition to our advanced education and training in relationship and sexuality issues, our knowledge of relationships also comes from true, real-life experience. We have over 15 + years of personal experience in a healthy, loving and successful relationship. We know how to solve problems and work through difficulties that couples may face on a daily basis. We know ways to keep relationships strong and healthy. We offer you tools and strategies that can make positive changes in your relationship.

Charles (Chuck) C. Bird, IMH, Ph.D., RN, Dip. ABS is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (#IMH 9531), Registered Nurse, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist and relationship expert providing coaching services with his wife in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Bird received his Doctorate from The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists, two Masters degrees (Nova Southeastern University – Mental Health Counseling and Maimonides University – Pastoral Counseling), Registered Nurse degree from St. Pete College and his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. His coach training is from The Institute for Life Coach Training.  Dr. Bird is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology and a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).

Jo-Ann H. Bird, Ph.D., LMHC, CCBT, Dip. ABS is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (#MH 6090), Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, Hypnotherapist, National Certified Counselor, and relationship expert providing counseling and coaching services for adults in the Tampa Bay area. She received her Doctorate from The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists at Maimonides University, Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Dr. Bird’s coach training is from The Institute for Life Coach Training. She is a Diplomate and Supervisor of the American Board of Sexology and a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida. Dr. Bird also has served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Hillsborough Community College.

*Drs. Bird are recognized leaders in the field of Clinical Sexology and Relationships and are accomplished and sought after public speakers.  In November 2008, they presented “Sex Coaching: Combating Media’s Negative Impact on Sexuality” at the Conference on Sexuality and the Media in Munich, Germany. The conference was sponsored by the German Society for Social-Scientific Sexuality Research.
