Art has been the president of two companies, and the vice president of three others. He is currently President of The Boardroom, a consulting and business communication firm he started in 1976. He has held responsible positions in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, government, and not-for-profit sectors of the economy. His corporate responsibilities have included sales, sales management, budget and cost control, new product design and introduction, advertising and sales promotion.
Art has been a professional speaker for 20 years, has presented sessions for over 5,000 participants in the last year. An internationally known speaker, he has twice been invited to extended speaking tours of Australia and New Zealand. His more than 100 clients include associations, corporations, and fraternal organizations.
Art specializes in showing business professionals how to increase their management and interpersonal skills. A published author, Art wrote Freeing the Corporate Mind; How to Spur Innovation in Business in 1992. This hardbound book is designed to show business professionals how to generate more innovative ideas from themselves and their people. Art earned his BA and MBA degrees from Michigan State University in 4 ½ years.
