Former US Solicitor General; Attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher

Theodore Olson is a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He was US solicitor general from 2001 to 2004 and an assistant attorney general from 1981 to 1984. Olson has argued 63 US Supreme Court cases, including cases involving the First Amendment, the 2000 presidential election, campaign finance, and same-sex marriage. His board service includes the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, Federal Society, Knight Institute for Freedom of the Press, and 9/11 Pentagon Memorial Foundation.

A TIME 100 most influential person in 2010, he received the highest civilian awards from the US Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and American Bar Association. Olson co-authored Redeeming the Dream, the Case for Marriage Equality.
