Thomas Bjorn is Denmark's most successful professional golfer who plays on the European Tour.

Bjorn began his golf career playing on the Challenge Tour from 1993 to 1995 and made an immediate impact on the European Tour in his first season, finishing tenth on the 1996 Order of Merit. He went on to capture the Loch Lomond Invitational in 1996, the first of his ten European tour victories to date. His most recent win came in 2010 at the Estoril Open in Portugal, where he came in 23 under par, 5 better than Richard Green.

Bjorn was a member of the European Ryder Cup teams in 1997 and 2002, winning on both occasions. As a player he has a Ryder Cup record of played 6, won 3, lost 2 and halved 1. He is the first Danish golfer to ever have played in the Ryder Cup tournament.

In 2005 and 2006, Bjorn sponsored the Thomas Bjorn Open, an event on the Challenge Tour played in his home country. In 2007 Bjorn showed true leadership ability when he was elected chairman of the European Tour's tournament committee.

Bjorn resides in Denmark and the UK and is a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
