Thomas Kamei is the Vice President of Investor Growth at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

Kamei worked as an intern for Bodri Capital Mangement and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. In 2010, he became an Investor on the Growth team for Morgan Stanley. The Growth Team manages long-only global portfolios for institutional clients. In his role he evaluated public and private companies within the Internet and technology sectors as potential investments for the portfolios, analyzing public and private businesses across the market capitalization spectrum. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Thomas researched private companies with emerging technologies for Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in Silicon Valley.

In 2015, he became a Fellow for the First Mover Program at The Aspen Institute for a year where he participated in a year-long leadership development program for intrapreneurs (change-agents within organizations). Kamei was also chosen to Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018.

He received a B.A. from the University of Southern California​, where he was a Member of Tau Sigma Delta Architecture Honors Society.
