Thomas R. Ward

Tom Ward brings a keen, first-hand sense -- a street smart wisdom -- to speaking about achieving remarkable ProfitAbility® in the mortgage industry regardless of market conditions.

During an entrepreneurial career that began in his mid-20s, Tom has built eight companies. He founded Majestic Mortgage in 1987, selling three Century 21 agencies in the transition. Tom led Majestic to a $400 million a year, multi-state mortgage banker. Majestic was merged into Cherry Creek Mortgage Company in May 2006.

Tom's accomplishments with Majestic earned him membership into the prestigious Young Presidents Organization.

He is member of the National Speakers Association and author of The Empathy Effect: Building Your Business and Your Wealth by Putting Yourself in Other People’s Shoes. He has served on the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association board of directors and the Countrywide Advisory Board.

Tom currently pursues his passion to help others achieve success as the principal of Majestic Consulting. The company produces ProfitAbility® workshops and engages in private consulting on culture, leadership, management, operations, marketing and sales to mortgage company owners. The financial management system Tom created, One Transaction Thinking®, has been featured by National Mortgage Broker.

He presents frequently at association, industry and company events nationwide and for peer groups during retreats at his training academy in Vernon Hills, IL. Tom consistently earns high marks averaging 9.8 on a 10 scale from professionals attending speaking engagements and workshops. He is author of numerous articles on management, marketing and sales for mortgage industry publications.

Tom’s current, high demand program on marketing and sales, Customer Direct Sales Training: The Step-By-Step Process to Acquire, Incubate and Convert Consumers for Immediate Profit, challenges the narrow view of an industry facing increased commoditization. Breaking out of the commodity trap opens vast potential for service to consumers and profit to those who provide it. He motivates attendees to implement by dollarizing the direct benefits to them with his 10-10-10 solution. Year to date, the tally by attendees is $10,948,745 in additional profit gained by implementing the clear scripts, tactics and strategies learned during the program.

“… absolutely on point for today’s economy,” said David McCraw, director of sales, community lending, Freddie Mac.

“I was just so blown away by the experience we had with Tom … his presentation was one of the finest I have ever heard,” said Stacey Harding, senior vice president and national production manager of CCMC.
