Thomas Suarez is an engineer building software architectures, electronics, and novel interfaces for spatial computing in his new stealth venture. At 12, Suarez gave a TEDx Talk on the importance of computer science with 13M+ views, prototyped a modular 3D printer and augmented reality glasses at 15, received funding from Lightspeed (a Silicon Valley VC firm) at 17, and became a Thiel Fellow at 21. Suarez studied at Georgia Tech and contributed to the Contextual Computing Group’s human-computer interaction research, before taking a leave of absence to focus full-time on his AR technology and creator tools startup, where he led engineering for seven years.
