Tiffany Jenkins is an author, academic, broadcaster and consultant. Writing credits include the Observer, the Financial Times, the Guardian, the Scotsman (for which she was a weekly columnist on social and cultural issues) and the Spectator. She is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh; a former visiting fellow in the Department of Law at the London School of Economics. Her PhD is in sociology, her BA in art history.

Tiffany Jenkins appears regularly on BBC Radio 4, including ‘Front Row’ and ‘Saturday Review’. She wrote and presented the programme’s Beauty and the Brain, which explored what science can tell us about art; A Narrative History of Secrecy, a five part history of secrecy, and most recently; Contracts of Silence on the rights, wrongs, and reasons for the rise of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) after high profile cases in business, politics, and celebrity life on both sides of the Atlantic. She is the host of the new arts podcast: Behind the Scenes at the Museum.

Her book Keeping Their Marbles: How Treasures of the Past Ended Up in Museums and Why They Should Stay There was published in 2016 to critical acclaim. She is also the author of Contesting Human Remains in Museum Collections: The Crisis of Cultural Authority, and editor of Political Culture: Soft Interventions and Nation Building.

She speaks regularly at conferences around the world and is an accomplished keynote speaker.
