Active Special Forces Master Sergeant, Retired Professional Mixed Martial Artist & Author of "Scars and Stripes"

Tim Kennedy is a Master Sergeant with the Special Operations Detachment Africa of the US Army. He is a Ranger qualified Special Forces Sniper with deployments with Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and many other locations around the globe. Among Kennedy’s multiple awards is the Army’s Bronze Star Medal, which was awarded for his valor under fire.

In addition to his military career, Kennedy had the unique distinction of being a professional MMA fighter while simultaneously serving full-time with 7th Special Forces Group and was part of the most elite section within Special Forces. Prior to his retirement from professional mixed martial arts, he was ranked among the top Middleweights in the UFC and the world. As a professional mixed martial arts fighter and two time title challenger, he fought for the largest organizations in the world including the UFC, Strikeforce, IFL, HDnet Fights, and the WEC. As a lifetime martial artist, he holds numerous black belts including Brazilian jujitsu from Royler Gracie and U.S. Army Combatives.

Kennedy continues actively serving in the military while also making a name for himself in the entertainment world. He most recently starred in three seasons of “Hunting Hitler” on the History Channel, and hosting the Discovery Channel series “Hard to Kill.” Kennedy is a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir "Scars And Stripes." "Scars And Stripes" was the number one book in the world.

Kennedy is a serial entrepreneur owning nearly a dozen successful companies.

Aside from being a devoted soldier, a talented fighter, and rising media star, Kennedy dedicates his time and money to various philanthropic causes including counter-human trafficking organizations and veteran nonprofits like The Independence Fund, The Green Beret Foundation, and Team Rubicon. Tim Kennedy was one of four special operation operatives that flew into Kabul Afghanistan as a civilian volunteer to assist with the evacuation of America’s allies for the NGO Save Our Allies (SOA). After ten days of operations, SOA saved nearly 17,000 lives while staging out of Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA). Kennedy is the president and a founding member of Save Our Allies.
