Tim Mahoney
Global Marketing Operations Leader, GM; Global Chief Marketing Officer, Chevrolet
With 30+ years of automotive industry marketing experience, Tim has successfully managed and led teams in nearly every aspect of the category- from Research and Planning to Product Management & from Marketing Communications to Customer Dealer Service. Prior to Chevrolet, Tim was the Chief Product and Marketing Officer for Volkswagen. He holds a MA in Business Administration in Marketing Management from Drexel University and a BA in Arts of Foreign Languages & International Studies from Newberry College. Tim ranked #3 on the list of the world’s 50 most influential CMOs, as determined by Forbes Magazine, Nov 2014. And was named Automotive Marketer of the Year by MediaPost in 2017.
Tim was appointed Chief Marketing Officer, Global Chevrolet and Global GM Marketing Operations Leader in April 2013. Prior to joining Chevrolet, he was the Chief Product and Marketing Officer for Volkswagen. As CMO, Tim has also led the Subaru and Porsche brands. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing Management from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts of Foreign Languages & International Studies from Newberry College.
