Timothy Yu is one of the brains behind Snapask, an app for high school students to take snapshots of their homework, connect and chat with a tutor about their lessons. Snapask, funded with $1.8 million by angel investors, gets a cut of a fee paid by some 26,000 students using the app.
Launched in Hong Kong in 2015, Snapask has extended to Taiwan and Singapore. Yu founded a similar e-learning startup the year before his 2012 graduation from The University of Hong Kong. Chiang hasn't even graduated yet - that's expected this year, from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
