Tod Olson is author of the historical fiction series How to Get Rich and the narrative nonfiction series, LOST. He holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and lives in Vermont with his family, his mountain bike, and his electric reclining chair.
His previous writing experience includes writing an American history magazine at Scholastic, editing a section of the kid’s version of Parade magazine. Olson also edited books for Scholastic, including a series about evil-doers in history called Wicked.
As an independent developer, he produced collections of classroom books for struggling readers. As a magazine writer, Olson traveled the country to report on the school shooting at Columbine, the murder of Matthew Shepard, drunk driving accidents, homeless youth, and children of incarcerated parents.
