Todd Huston was in a near-fatal accident at age 14 when his legs got entangled in the propeller of a boat; he technically died twice during this ordeal. Subsequently, his life underwent a dramatic transformation leading to the amputation of his right leg at age 21, which he endured while conscious on the operating table. Beyond his career as a psychotherapist in Southern California, where he assisted individuals in surmounting physical and mental obstacles, Huston also embarked on an extraordinary challenge. He became the first leg amputee to climb the highest elevation in each of the 50 states and set a new world record in the process, surpassing the previous climbing record by 35 days.
