Tom Anschutz
Distinguished Member of Tech Staff at AT&T
Tom Anschutz is a 32-year veteran of telecom, data centers and web services. Starting his career in telecom architectures at Bell Labs, he’s become a leader of the telco transformation to apply cloud and data center technologies to communications workloads. His current role is transforming access networks using cloud, SDN and NFV technologies - with the goal of making them nimble to change and operationally efficient. Tom promotes open, community-based approaches and is active in the Open Compute Project, where he authored the AT&T Open GPON hardware spec, as well as the Open Network Foundation, where he has been active in the work on Central Office Rearchitected as a Datacenter (CORD).
