Brigadier General Tom Maffey (Ret.) is an experienced Project Lead for consulting engagements, working with consumer goods, finance, and technology clients to implement CrossLead in their organizations. Tom joined McChrystal Group in May 2013 and previously served as the firm’s Director of Operations.

Tom spent 30 years in the US Army as an Infantry Officer in general purpose and special operations forces, such as the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Joint Special Operations Command. He finished his career as Director of Army Training and Leader Development. During his military career, Tom deployed to operations in Grenada, Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan. A graduate of the Army’s elite leadership schools, Tom honed his leadership and team-building skills in the toughest environments.

After retiring from the military, Tom spent over four years as President of the Latin America Region for Brinks Inc., an armored car and secure logistics company. He was responsible for all business functions in 10 Latin American countries, with over 35,000 employees in more than 300 locations. He also led the post acquisition integration of the world’s largest independent armored car company into Brinks.

Tom received a Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Peter’s College and is a graduate of the US Army War College. ​
