Tom Pritzker is executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, chairman and CEO of The Pritzker Organization, and a director of Royal Caribbean Cruises. Over his career, he has been involved in acquiring and building companies in different industries and founding companies in container leasing (Triton), biotech (Bay City Capital), and health care (Reliant Pharmaceuticals and First Health).

Pritzker chairs the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Hyatt Foundation (sponsor of the Pritzker Architecture Prize), is an Aspen Strategy Group member, and a trustee of University of Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. An honorary history professor at China’s Sichuan University, he leads archeological expeditions and publishes research on western Himalayan history.
