Most baseball fans will undoubtedly best remember Tom Seaver for his incredible achievements on the mound in the Major Leagues, and his leadership of the 1969 "Miracle Mets

Seaver was the Mets "ace" during the magical '69 season, when the Mets shocked the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles, and the world, by winning it all. Tom Seaver is one of the members of both the Three Hundred Wins club and theThree Thousand Strike-out club ! Tom Seaver won Rookie of the Year in 1967 and three Cy Young awards. Seaver set the major league record by striking out ten consecutive batters! Seaver was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1992, receiving the highest percentage of votes than any player in the history of the game. He won 311 games, with a 2.86 earned run average and was one of the true "greats" of the game.
