Tomas Leach is an award winning filmmaker from the UK. He studied at Bournemouth Film School and at Fabrica in Italy.

His films have played in festivals worldwide; won multiple awards and staff picks; featured in best of year lists and had wide releases in cinemas. His work has been exhibited at The Guggenheim, The Pompidou and The Tate Modern. Amongst other short documentary work, Tomas directed a popular series called ‘Little Scraps of Paper’ about creative people and their sketchbooks, offering beautiful insights into their lives and inspirations.

His first theatrical feature documentary ‘In No Great Hurry’ - about legendary photographer Saul Leiter - featured on best of the year lists and was described as “A beautiful film about a lovely man” by The Guardian and "Neon Poetry" The New York Times.

His second feature ‘The Lure’ about Forrest Fenn’s wild treasure hunt in the Rocky Mountains was EP'd by Errol Morris and described as "Gorgeous" by Vice and "A fascinating portrait of their enduring appeal, and this country’s inexhaustible possibilities" by Indiewire.

He has recently directed films with gold winning Olympians, prison baseball teams and Trevor Noah. Alongside this work, he has also directed commercial work for clients such as Adidas, IBM, Ikea, NASA and more.

Tomas is currently preparing two narrative features from his own screenplays.
