Speech Topics

The Gift of Influence

Researchers believe that the average person will influence up to 80,000 people—2.8 people daily—over the course of their lifetime. That’s a stadium full of people whom each of us affect positively or negatively—sometimes without us knowing.

What if we paid attention to this fact?

Would we live differently?

Would we lead differently?

Would we take more time to put down our phones and instead focus on the person in front of us?

The Gift of Influence is a manifesto on the everyday actions we can take to make a positive impact on the people we love and lead. Sharing stories from the exceptional leaders he has worked with over the years, from entrepreneurs who have made an impact far beyond their businesses to a teacher who changed the lives of thirty students with one simple lesson. Spaulding gives us a simple recipe for turning transactions into interactions, 0ffering more than “thoughts and prayers” to those in need, and transforming the lives each of us touch as we make our way through the world.

Return on Relationships

Economists and business leaders love to talk about building ROI, or return on investment—and for good reason. The greater the ROI, the greater the positive impact on their organization. But what if we told you there was something more to results-driven business than just increasing revenue and ROI? That something is ROR, return on relationship.

Organizations and leaders that build genuine and lifelong relationships are increasingly more successful than those that don’t. Transform your workforce, change habits, and develop deeper, more authentic relationships with your customers, employees, clients, and other stakeholders.

Tommy’s genuine character, sincerity, and humor will move you and your team. His heartwarming stories will connect with your audience in a relatable way and will arm them with practical tools that build relationships to higher and more satisfying levels. These connections bring ROR that translates into success, and brings results to any organization.

The Heart-Led Leader

On average, there are 18 inches between your head and your heart. Such a short distance, yet most leaders never take the journey. Leaders and organizations that lead with their hearts are most successful and achieve better results than those that don’t.

In Tommy’s Heart-Led Leader presentation, he shows that love and results are not mutually exclusive—in fact, they are two sides to the same coin. It’s not love or results, it’s love-driven results. If you love what you do, if you love the people you do it with, if you love your culture, your mission, your team, and your customers, you will achieve better results.
