Tony Coles is chairman and CEO of Yumanity Therapeutics LLC, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Before being named to those posts in 2014, Coles served as chairman and CEO of Trate Enterprises LLC, a privately held company.

Coles was president, CEO and chairman of Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012 until 2013. Under his leadership, Onyx introduced two innovative cancer medicines and established an international presence. Previously, Coles was at NPS Pharmaceuticals Inc., Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Merck & Co. He is a board member of McKesson Corp., vice chair of the board for Johns Hopkins University and on the board for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Coles also serves as a director of the board of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation. He earned an M.D. from Duke University, a master's degree in public health from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins.
