Tony Evans is a well-known evangelical pastor, speaker, author, and broadcaster in America. He founded Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, in 1976, which has grown to a congregation of over 10,000 members. Evans is also the founder of The Urban Alternative, a national ministry dedicated to transforming lives through the application of God's word. His radio show, "The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans," is broadcast daily to over 1,400 outlets worldwide and reaches more than 130 countries.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Evans has made significant contributions to religious education and literature. He launched the Tony Evans Training Center, an online platform offering college-level courses, to further extend his teachings. As a prolific author, he has published over 100 books and holds the distinction of being the first African American to write a full-Bible commentary and study Bible. Evans has a longstanding role as chaplain for the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, a position he has held for over 30 years, and previously served as chaplain for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
