Anthony (“Tony”) Zameczkowski is Vice President, Business Development for Netflix Asia. Tony has held pivotal roles within huge organizations operating where he has been responsible for leading teams in strategic partnerships and business development efforts in in ever-changing and fast-moving environments.

Since Tony joined Netflix earlier this year, it has inked Netflix Open Connect partnership deals with leading Singapore info-communications players - Singtel and StarHub - to deliver optimal streaming experiences for Netflix members. It now also has partnerships in Hong Kong with nowTV – delivered by PCCW Media Limited. In June, Netflix entered into a partnership with Globe Telecom in Philippines.

With more than 17 years’ experience in the media and technology industry, Tony has a proven track record of building and strengthening strategic partnerships with key players across content verticals (entertainment, music, sports and news) in markets covering Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia.

Prior to Netflix, he was in a global managerial position running the international operations of Victorious, a Kleiner Perkins-backed start-up in the mobile video space, building new business and partnerships for the US-based digital company. Before that, Tony spent eight years at Google/YouTube in Europe and Asia. He first came to Asia five years ago in his capacity as Head of Partnerships for Greater China and South East Asia in Hong Kong. Later he moved to Singapore to manage the YouTube Music business in the APAC region. He was among the first few employees to be part of the video-sharing platform, when it was acquired by Google.

Tony’s roots in entertainment started when he worked at Warner Bros. Television as Sales and Business Development Manager, licensing content to broadcasters and VOD platforms in Europe. He holds an MBA awarded jointly by the Kellogg School of Management and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as well as a Master’s degree from ESSEC Business School.
