Torrey L. Barrett is the principal of Imagine Development Group, a minority-owned and certified leading boutique real estate development firm with significant local experience in market-rate, mixed-income, and affordable housing. Prior to starting Imagine Development Group, Barrett was recognized for bettering the quality of life for thousands of youth through his social justice efforts. He was appointed US chapter president of the Youth Federation for World Peace International, and he was awarded the Ambassador for Peace title by the State of Israel. A native of Chicago, Barett continues to dedicate his time to boards and committees representing various important causes, including Chicago’s Business Leadership Council, the associate board of the Make A Wish Foundation, the advisory board for the Chicago Fire Department, the board of directors for Youth Freedom for World Peace International, the advisory board for University of Chicago Medical, and a founding board member of Emerald South (Obama Foundation CDC).
