Tracey Cunningham is one of the most highly sought after stylists and colorists in the business because she combines professionalism with the highest level of artistic and technical skill. Born on the Fourth of July, she came to Los Angeles from her native Seattle in 1988 and found her way into the business because she absolutely loves hair. “When I was a little girl, I loved playing with my mother’s hair because she was so beautiful,” Tracey explains. “I had thick, curly hair that wouldn’t do anything, but my mother’s hair was long and straight.”

Word of mouth started to circulate around town with clients thrilled by her remarkable blow out skills and sharp eye for detail. After Allure Magazine dubbed Tracey “The Best Blow-Out Artist of 1999,” the secret was out – and her celebrity clients all started booking her on all of their jobs.

A loyal fan of Redken professional color brands, Tracey’s artistic and technical color skills led to her collaboration with Redken as the Creative Consultant for Color. For the internationally embraced brand, she will provide seasonal hair color trend insight and participate in media interviews on behalf of Redken.

Tracey is co-owner of the Byron & Tracey salon based in Beverly Hills. Her impressive client roster boasts A-list Hollywood names including Jennifer Lopez, Ali Larter, Nicole Richie, Molly Sims, Rebecca Romijn, and Kate Beckinsale and many other bold faced names. Tracey is featured both editorially and behind-the-scenes in publication including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Allure, O, the Oprah Magazine, InStyle, and Entertainment Weekly.
