Treger Strasberg

TV Host of CW's "Welcome Home" and CEO of Humble Design

TV Host of CW's ""Welcome Home"" and CEO and founder of Humble Design — a national non-profit organization that helps families transition out of homeless shelters by providing furnishings and design services. She hosts a weekly TV show on the CW called ""Welcome Home"" which follows the process of the non-profit and introduces the country to what the real face of homeless looks like.

Humble Deign formed in 2009 to assist families coming out of homeless and abuse shelters with the process of rebuilding their home lives. The mission: to turn four bare walls into a clean, dignified and welcoming home by repurposing gently used household goods. Humble Design was born out of the belief that families emerging from homelessness deserve to come home each day to a clean, friendly, and dignified home. Many of these families are victims of abuse and have left behind all personal items upon escaping and entering an emergency shelter. Most have no beds, books, toys or furniture to call their own.

Humble Design currently has the capacity to assist up to 3 families per city per week, and has expanded to 4 cities nationwide.

Treger gathered her experience from working in the advertising and marketing arena for 10 years and her BFA from SVA in New York and applied them to helping real people with real problems.

She has been awarded the TCH Diversity Award, the Lighthouse Salute America, the Optimist Club's Ruby Award, the Girl Scout of America's One Tough Cookie Award, Make your Marc award by Marc Fisher, and Oakland County Executive's Elite 40 Under 40, Volunteer of the Year by Governor Snyder and others. Humble Design has been featured on Upworthy, Ford Go Further, the Meredith Vieira Show, Mitch Albom's Heart of Detroit, Motor City Rising, the Radiant Project, CNN, Today Show and many others.

Since its inception in 2009, Humble has turned almost 1,100 empty houses into clean, dignified and welcoming homes for the homeless — a simple but powerful idea.

""Welcome Home"" follows hosts Rob and Treger Strasberg as they run a non-profit dedicated to helping deserving families in transition by turning their house into a home with their motto, ‘design with dignity’– and changing lives along the way. In each episode, we meet a family emerging from difficult circumstances as they finally move into a new living space to call their own. To help the family with their fresh start, Treger, Rob, and a dedicated team of designers and volunteers will transform the family’s bare house into a warm home by using goods and services donated by people in the community. The new home will provide much-needed stability to meet the family's specific needs, stimulate their interests, and promote their goals. Welcome Home is coproduced in partnership with BYUtv and will teach viewers the importance of giving back in their communities, to never give up when faced with a tough situation, and to have gratitude for the basic living necessities that we often take for granted.
