Trevor Bayne

NASCAR Daytona 500 Champion & TV Analyst; Multiple Sclerosis Survivor

Trevor Bayne is a professional stock car racing driver, team owner, and businessman. In addition to his past competitions in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 6 Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing, he is also the current Competition Advisor for Legacy Motor Club.

Bayne holds the record as the youngest person to ever win the Daytona 500, a feat he achieved a day after his 20th birthday in 2011. This victory was only his second race in NASCAR's top series and was one of his 187 total "Cup" series starts. He has also competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, boasting a total of 1 race win in the NASCAR Cup Series, and 2 race wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, amongst other top finishes.

Bayne began his racing career at the tender age of five in go-karts. Over the years, he has achieved three World Championships and bagged the National Championship in the Allison Legacy Series, making him the youngest top rookie in the series. His career trajectory expanded to include the NASCAR Camping World East Series and the Nationwide Series before he moved to the Sprint Cup Series for Wood Brothers Racing. He recorded multiple top finishes while racing for Michael Waltrip Racing in the Xfinity Series.

In 2018, after losing his ride with Roush, Bayne ventured into business by opening Mahalo Coffee Roasters in Knoxville, Tennessee, which he sold in 2022, as he was finalizing a full-time deal with Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He also races part-time for his own team in the American Crate All-Star Series presented by PPM.

Beyond his accomplishments on the race track, Bayne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2013. Despite this significant health challenge, he has continued to stay active in his career and personal life, including constructing a farm in Tennessee during the 2019 offseason.
