Prior to joining GreenOrder, Truman directed the Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC) at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, growing it into the largest U.S.-based business association focused on climate change solutions -- 45 companies with combined revenue of $2.8 trillion and 4 million employees worldwide. While at Pew, Truman also was part of the founding team and Executive Committee of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP). Before Pew, Truman served as Vice President of Ecos Technologies, a consultant with McKinsey & Co., the U.S. Treasury's International Economist on energy and environment, and Program Manager at the International Institute for Energy Conservation. From 1995-1999, he was a member of the U.S. climate change negotiating team. He has published widely and been covered in the Financial Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, and Petroleum Economist. Truman has a Masters in Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and an MBA from Duke University. He serves on the boards of the National Wildlife Federation, Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, the American Farmland Trust, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
