Emmy Award-Winning Journalist, CNBC Anchor & Former Money Editor of Good Morning America

Tyler Mathisen began his career as a writer and editor for Money from 1982 to 1997. During this tenure, he also served as the money editor of Good Morning America from 1991 to 1997. Mathisen's insightful reporting and analytical skills earned him the American University-Investment Company Institute Award for Personal Finance Journalism in 1993.

Mathisen's coverage of Black Monday in 1987 for WCBS-TV in New York showcased his ability to deliver complex financial news in a comprehensible and engaging manner, which garnered him an Emmy Award. Mathisen's move to CNBC in 1997 marked the beginning of a long and successful association with the network. Over the years at CNBC, Mathisen has anchored several shows, including "Business Center," "Closing Bell," "High Net Worth," "Nightly Business Report," "Open Exchange," "Power Lunch," and "Location, Location, Location."
