UMI, born Tierra Umi Wilson, is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer known for her soulful fusion of R&B, neo-soul, and pop. Drawing inspiration from her Japanese and African American heritage, UMI brings a distinct cultural perspective to her music, blending English and Japanese lyrics with themes of love, identity, and self-discovery. She began sharing her music on SoundCloud in high school, quickly amassing a following with her unique voice and introspective style.

Her debut EP, Love Language (2019), was a breakout success and featured her popular single "Remember Me." With a signature style that combines lo-fi beats and soulful melodies, UMI’s music often explores themes of mindfulness and healing, influenced by her personal practices of meditation and spiritual growth. Her follow-up EP, Introspection (2020), continued to showcase her growth as an artist, diving deeper into themes of vulnerability and self-reflection. UMI released her debut studio album Forest in the City in 2022, later embarking on her first headlining tour in support of its release. Her second studio album is expected to be released in 2025.
