Kristof Grina - Having grown up in The District of Columbia and having had the opportunity to study agriculture in Vermont, Kristof is obsessed with how commercial scale agriculture can fit into the densely populated built environment. This interest has led to the rooftops with a goal of better activating these underutilized spaces. Previous to Up Top Acres, he managed an organic farm in Potomac, Maryland that distributes produce to the Washington D.C. area. Under his direction, the farm successfully implemented a 60 member weekly CSA delivery program. He has also worked installing green roofs for one of the top green roofing companies in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Kristof graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors Degree in Plant and Soil Science focusing on sustainable agriculture.

Kathleen O'Keefe - Prior to co-founding Up Top Acres, Kathleen worked at the DowntownDC Business Improvement District as a project and event coordinator in the Infrastructure and Sustainability Department. Kathleen helped manage a sustainability program designed to help buildings implement smart sustainable business practices that improve their bottom line and reduce energy, water, waste and transportation costs. Kathleen graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with a focus on Urban Development and the Built Environment.

Jeff Prost-Greene - Jeff has spent that last few years installing green roofs for one of the leading greenroof companies in the D.C. area, working at one of DC’s largest urban farms and serving as a Sustainable DC ambassador. Jeffrey studied business as an undergrad and while abroad, completed graduate courses where he led a team in conducting an extensive report on a business’ triple bottom line. Jeffrey brings a background in triple bottom line analysis, marketing, and experience working in a startup. Jeffrey graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.
