Vanessa Burbano is an Assistant Professor of Management in the strategy area at Columbia Business School. Her research is on topics at the intersection of corporate strategy and social/environmental issues. Her research on corporate social responsibility has been recognized with awards from the Strategic Management Society and the Strategy Research Foundation. She holds a Ph.D. from UCLA Anderson’s School of Management, an M.A. in Economics from UCLA, and an M.P.A. from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She is also a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar alumna. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, she worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs and as a Strategy Consultant at Monitor Group.
