Veronica has over 6 years experience working in the Civil Society Sector, where she has participated, designed and led advocacy processes to influence public policies in the field of environment, human rights and transparency at the national and regional level. Between 2007-2011 she worked for CEDHA (Center for Human Rights and Environment) where she was the founder and coordinator of the Human Rights, Business and Sustainable Development Initiative and later became the coordinator of the Global Governance Program and the Access Initiative in Argentina. In 2010, she was invited by the UN Human Rights Commission to participate as an expert in the development of mediation facilities for Communities and Multinational Companies in The Hague. She was a speaker at the Latin American Preparatory Meeting to the UNCSD organized by the ECLAC (Santiago de Chile) and at the Latin American Youth Congress on the Road to Rio 20. She also served as policy advisor to the Rio YOU Campaign, the largest youth mobilization on the Road to Rio 20. Since 2012, Verónica is the COO of Fundación TierraVida, an Argentina based NGO working to strengthen youth leadership for sustainable development and promoting youth participation in decision-making processes in Latin America. Author and co-author of numerous publications, she holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations and is an associate professor at the Universidad Siglo XXI in Cordoba. In 2012, she was selected as a Mentee by Vital Voices’ mentoring program, which supports the next generation of women leaders globally.
