Through these lines I would like to tell you the incredible and emotional story about my wife Ana whom according to her doctors and many people from the American Society is a true miracle, the authentic one in a million case

In November of 2008, Thanksgiving Friday to be exact, literally out of nowhere we discovered that my wife had metastatic breast cancer. She had a primary tumor in her right breast, 2 brain tumors, cancer in her left lung, left kidney, liver and the base of her spine. As if this wasn’t enough on top of that she had cancerous meningitis, in other words a direct attack on her central nervous system. One of her brain tumors was surgically removed successfully, however 5 days later she had a stroke

Due to this situation the internal medicine doctor at Kendall Regional told me “The disease your wife has is so aggressive and is so wide spread that we’re not going to be able to stop this with anything. No therapy, conventional or non-conventional will save her life. The only thing we’ll obtain by living her multiple types of chemotherapy or radiation is to make her suffer in vain. If I were you I’d just give her pain killers to avoid suffering and accept the fact that the disease must compete its course.”

During that time our children, Sophia, Eric, and Chiara were 3, 7 and 9 years old. The fact that they were so young pushed me to find another solution. I took her to the Baptist Hospital of Miami where we met Dr. Paul Kaywin.

As an effort to try and save Ana’s life standard protocols were ignored. Ana received 3 types of chemotherapy simultaneously and radiation to the brain. She was completely bedridden for 8 months. Ana is 5’7” and her body weight was down to 78 Lbs. I believe you don’t need a detailed description of what she looked like.

The story is very long, so the bottom line is that against all odds Ana is alive and totally cancer free since April 2009.

Dr. Kaywin and the nurses who took care of her call her “Miracle Girl”.

Nowadays we’re constantly speaking to cancer patients privately, giving speeches, conferences for non-profit organizations, and interviews. We don’t sell any “magical” products and we don’t promise any “miraculous” solutions we’re only interested in sharing our story. Our website www.anahope.net has no links to products or paid services. The reason for this is very simple. We’ve been given a second chance with Ana’s life and we want to do something positive with that opportunity. We think and believe that the most positive thing we can do is to try and stimulate hope in others. We want to give to others the same type of support we got when we needed it the most.
