Founded in 2017 alongside Professors Matthias Niessner and Lourdes Agapito, as well as Steffen Tjerrild, Synthesia's mission is to democratize video production, making it accessible to everyone.

With over a decade of experience in technology entrepreneurship, Riparbelli has been involved in building products across various industries. His work in the VR/AR sector inspired him to apply similar technologies to video production, leading to the inception of Synthesia.

Under Riparbelli's leadership, Synthesia has experienced significant growth, attracting investments from notable entities such as Kleiner Perkins, Google, and Mark Cuban. The company has expanded its global presence with five offices worldwide and has been recognized for its innovative approach to media production.
