With whiskey flowing through her veins as the great-great-granddaughter of Nearest Green, the first known African American master distiller, Butler embodies her family's legacy firsthand.

Transitioning from a successful career in law enforcement, Butler joined Uncle Nearest Whiskey at the invitation of CEO Fawn Weaver. Her inaugural batch of whiskey swiftly sold out, earning accolades, including two double-golds at international competitions. Her trailblazing efforts have since earned her the title of Master Blender of the Year at the American Icons of Whisky Awards, a historic achievement repeated in 2022.
