Victoria Pynchon

Author, Keynote Speaker, Consultant and Trainer

I am an author, keynote speaker, consultant and trainer at She Negotiates Consulting and Training, which I founded with my business partner, Lisa Gates, in 2010.

For more than two years, we wrote a thrice-weekly negotiation blog at ForbesWoman under the name of our company, She Negotiates.

I have written lengthier pieces for CNN International, Alternatives Magazine, The Daily Muse (a gen-Y women’s magazine) and the American Bar Association Journal and several of its niche practice magazines including Law Practice Today and The Woman Advocate.

As a speaker, writer and consultant in the women’s negotiation and leadership niche, I have been interviewed by or mentioned at the Wall Street Journal, NPR (All Things Considered), PRI (Marketplace), The Chicago Tribune, The San Diego Union-Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio; The American Bar Association Journal and The ABA Now. My work has also been mentioned at The New York Times, CNN Opinion, Parade Magazine, The Huffington Post, Jezebel, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Daily Grind, Law.com’s Legal Blog Watch and LifeHacker.

My legal practice is now strictly limited to serving as a commercial mediator and arbitrator the American Arbitration Association in Los Angeles.

My illustrated conflict resolution primer - The Grownups' ABC's of Conflict Resolution - was published by Reason Press in 2010 and my book on mediation practice was published by Wiley in 2012 - Success as a Mediator for Dummies. Both are available in paperback and kindle at Amazon.

Specialties: My historic legal specialties were insurance coverage, antitrust, unfair competition, patent, copyright and trademark litigation, as well as the occasional securities fraud and consumer class action. I have represented clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, garment, entertainment, insurance, finance, and banking industries.
