Vishwesh Bhatt is the Executive Chef at Snackbar in Oxford, Mississippi. In 2019, he won a James Beard Award for Best Chef: South. Before winning in 2019, Bhatt was a finalist for the award from 2014 to 2018. Bhatt is a native of Gujarat, India and Oxford, Mississippi. In 1997, he joined City Grocery Restaurant Group. He also worked as a line cook at City Grocery, and then as a catering chef for City Grocery Restaurant Group in 2001. He opened Snackbar in 2009, and in 2011 he was nominated as People's Best New Chef.
