Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi is chief operating officer of Mubadala, an organization established by the Abu Dhabi government to serve as a principal agent in the diversification of Abu Dhabi's economy.

As Deputy Group CEO, Al Muhairi has strategic oversight of the company’s broad investment portfolio and special projects at the group level, while ensuring that the company’s four platforms are coordinating efficiently. In addition, he leads the healthcare, real estate & infrastructure, and capital investments portfolios.

Prior to joining Mubadala, Al Muhairi worked with the UAE Offsets Program Bureau as a Senior Project Manager. Past roles also include working with McKinsey & Company as a commercial and governmental consultant.

Al Muhairi holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, USA, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, USA.

Al Muhairi is Chairman of Waha Capital, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

He is also a board member of Emirates Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi Global Markets, Tamouh Investment Company, Tamkeen Abu Dhabi, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Investcorp Bank, Bahrain.
