Walter O'Brien is an Irish businessman and information technologist. He was also the executive producer and loose inspiration of the television series "Scorpion".

He is the founder of the Scorpion Computer Services. O'Brien is Chief Scientist at Langford & Carmichael, a veteran-run business consultancy. O'Brien started a company called Scorpion Studios, a movie-business.

In 2017, O'Brien was honored with unite4:humanity's Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement award.
