As BYD’s founder, Wang Chuanfu has committed to technological innovations, leading BYD to become a leader in new energy vehicles, and has been accorded many honors. He is a founding member of the "Sustainable Development Advisory Committee" of the United Nations Development Program. Additionally, for BYD's global response to the climate, energy crisis, and sustainable future, he was awarded the “Zayed Future Energy Prize’s lifetime achievement award in 2014.
