With a background in cultural anthropology and participatory media projects Watson‘s work has taken him across the America’s hunting for new pathways of building creative communities for social good. After conducting a year’s worth of ethnographic research on how hip hop was being used as a tool for violence prevention in urban Honduras, Watson founded Ojo Joven (“Youth Eye”), an organization aimed at building more resilient community narratives, from the perspective of marginalized youth. Watson is currently developing a national Social Innovation League for high school and middle schoolers that uses play, design thinking, and storytelling as a way of connecting young people to social issues.

Hartsoe is a researcher, designer, and educator. As a Fulbright Scholar he studied the educational and creative practices of hip hop artist organizing against gang violence in Honduras. Hartsoe is a creative technologist who explores methods and tools that spark imagination for social good using everyday materials and emerging technology. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of the South.
