Grammy Award-Winning Instrumentalist and Composer; Former Member of Arcade Fire

Will Butler, an American multi-instrumentalist and composer, garnered recognition as a former member of the indie rock band Arcade Fire. With this band, he contributed to several studio albums, among them "Funeral," "Neon Bible," "The Suburbs," "Reflektor," and "Everything Now." Arcade Fire won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2010. Butler also composed the score for the film "Her," earning him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2014.

Butler has also made his mark as a solo artist, with three studio albums to his name: "Policy" (2015), "Generations" (2020), and "Will Butler + Sister Squares" (2023). His album "Generations," was a collaborative effort, with contributions from his bandmates on lyrics and song structures. This album was sculpted through various recording sessions at Figure 8 Studios, group experiments in Butler's basement, and sessions in bandmate Miles's Synthia Studio. The creation process was further refined after the band tested out their studio ideas in live shows in August 2022.

Butler's creative talents extend beyond the realm of music and into theatre. In 2024, he was nominated for two Tony Awards for his orchestrations and score of the play "Stereophonic." The same year, he received the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in a Play. Known for his spontaneity, energy, and antics during live performances, Butler also developed his musical talents at esteemed institutions such as Northwestern University and Phillips Exeter Academy.
