A 5 time Emmy nominee and seven time consecutive nominee for the American Comedy Awards Stand Up of the Year, Durst is a regular commentator on NPR, CNN, and C-SPAN. He has appeared on television over 800 times including "Late Night with David Letterman," Comedy Central, HBO and Showtime.

His first book, “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing” was taken from his hit Off- Broadway one- man show of the same name and another book was made out of his 2012 one- man show “Elect to Laugh,” which ran for 41 weeks in San Francisco. Durst is the author of two more books, five cd's, and has performed his tribute to Baby Boomers “BoomeRaging: From LSD to OMG” in theaters across the nation.
