will.i.am is a musician, producer, and technology entrepreneur best known as a founding member of the band The Black Eyed Peas, with whom he won seven Grammy Awards and sold 33 million albums worldwide.

Outside of music, will.i.am is known as an innovator, STEAM education advocate and creative collaborator to global brands. Leveraging his early experience in the consumer electronics industry as part of the original founding team of Beats by Dre, he has continued to launch a range of his own tech-based companies focused on software and operating systems -- incorporating AI, natural language understanding, voice computing, creativity and productivity and customer-service apps -- as well as consumer-tech products. He is the CEO and founder of FYI.AI, a communication platform designed to serve the creative community, and founder and president of i.am Angel Foundation, which supports in-class and after-school STEAM education programs for disadvantaged youth in grades K – 12. The foundation also funds the Boyle Heights STEM Magnet High School and the i.am College Track tutoring center and college scholarship aid program.

will.i.am has been recognized with an Honorary Fellowship by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and has been presented with a Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum (WEF). He is a member of WEF’s Fourth Industrial Revolution Advisory Committee and its Global Artificial Intelligence Action Alliance, which monitors the impact of technology on society, people and work. He also co-chairs WEF's Generation AI working group, which examines the interaction of AI and youth across education, play, data rights and privacy. He has chaired the WEF’s Smart Toy Awards, an international competition that recognizes AI-empowered smarter toys that help children learn and play.

As a member of the FIRST Robotics organization’s board of directors, will.i.am also serves as a global advocate regarding the vital importance of STEAM skills development as the basis of an educated workforce.
